Blog Post #18: Costuming

 Costuming

Costuming is a very important aspect of the film process, without it; it would not be as meaningful and impactful. Typically, the "Villain's" have darker clothing and darker features to look mysterious. They have this darker clothing to shadow their face, also to make sure that the audience can identify them. Also, it's not in the photo, but usually they have some sort of face covering, such as a mask, sunglasses, etc. This makes them mysterious and look intimidating to audiences.

While, in "hero's" you'll usually see Lighter clothing that has identifiable features, so that the audience can identify them. This includes features like a specific shirt, different style than commonfolk, etc. They have these to make sure that they have the stereotypical hero features, so that the audience can identify them as this character type much easier.

My Project

This will help me know how to dress my characters for the production part of the film making process. It will help me learn what audiences find identifiable and what would be a new idea for them.
