Props used in Drama's
Hand Props- The use of either books, weapons, or tools can tell you what kind of Drama it is. Weapons are used in Action-focused films. Books are typically used in Crime-based or psychological Dramas; they help identify the person's stance and help show a person's personality. Lastly, tools also show a more violent-based Drama. These are used to develop the characters in a film.
Symbolic Props- These are props that symbolize something about a person or just the plot of the film. For example, it could be a knife that symbolizes death and despair of a loved one, or something more. This helps develop the plot of the film to make it more meaningful and symbolical.
Breakable Props- These are items that are specifically made to be broken in the film. This includes stuff like Bottles, Windows, and more glass-based items. This gives the film a dramatized effect, that helps give that Drama film a spark that can make it different.
Set Props- These are just things that have to do with the setting of the place. Like a Bed, to show that it takes place in a house. These help add setting and make the film more realistic and "real" in the audience's mind.
My Project
This gives me ideas on what to use in my film to develop not only my characters, but the plots and the settings.
